This body of work came about as an investigation into concepts of entertainment. Of interest to me is the ambiguous relationship between what might be construed as reality and the editorialized nature of media culture. Finding meaning in this tangle involves lots and lots of fragments that can frequently be as compelling as the whole from which they were derived. Translating these fragments into paintings then asks if meaning is even necessary.
